Expressions From Within: Art from SLU's Prison Education Program
March 31, 2026
Join Saint Louis University to witness that in prison, as everywhere, art draws a circle around its participants and creates a space to relax, reflect, research, freely express ideas, connect with like-minded people and be more fully themselves. Expressions from Within invites you to view work from an open studio held at the Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center, a men's state prison in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Featured artists come from a self-selected group working under the guidance of Stan Chisholm, the SLU Prison Education Program's artist-in-residence. Their work ranges from portraiture, comics, logos, and origami to clothing and shoe design, typography, fantasy, landscapes and abstraction, using a variety of media.

Faith and Learning with the SLU Women's Council

Join the Women’s Council for a special gathering as they welcome Randy Rosenberg, Ph.D., dean of the School of Philosophy and Letters. Dean Rosenberg will share an overview of the school along with his reflections on Pope Leo and the broader life of the church. Margaret Mary Moore, alumna and Women’s Council Board member, who will also speak about the Catholic Synodal process.

Please dress for the weather, as the pantry operates partially outdoors year-round.
