Library Research and Instruction
1818 Students have the same access to Saint Louis University library instruction as SLU undergraduate students. This includes remote access to library databases, on-campus library access, and library support resources.
Remote Database Access
Follow these steps to login and access digital resources through SLU’s Pius XII Memorial Library.
- Use keywords to search for a database, e-journal or e-text from SLU Libraries’ homepage.
- A webpage will appear asking you to enter your SLUNet ID and SLU ID Password. Need assistance logging in? Contact our student help desk at 314-977-4000.
Chat with a SLU Librarian
Need some guidance on how to navigate SLU library resources? Chat with a Librarian in real-time using the chat feature on the left-hand side of their database site.
Research Instruction
A library research session works best if it is tailored to an assignment your class is currently working on. For 1818 instructors and students, we offer two options:
- Virtually in your own high school classroom over Zoom.
- In-person on SLU’s campus at Pius XII Memorial Library.
The fall 2025 deadline to request library instruction is Oct. 1. The spring 2026 deadline to request library instruction is March 1. Requests for instruction should be made at least two weeks in advance of the requested date.
